We are extremely proud to present The Sound of Neo Baile compilation, featuring 14 unreleased and exclusive tracks from worldwide producers that reinterpret the love-it-or-hate-it Brazilian Baile Funk sound. The compilation has been put together by two of the movement’s most knowledgeable players: Sao Paulo-based Funk na Caixa aka Renato Martins and London-based Sean Casey aka Bumps, founder of Club Popozuda.”

What was it like working on this compilation? How do you feel about it as a completed project?
This is amazing, this is a big point to history of baile funk in World. Funk Globo is the next step of culture of baile funk, when foreign producers show how they see the baile funk culture, how they understand, and how they reproduce it. For me, a Brazilian, t0 see our culture around all world, is amazing.
How did Funk Globo come into existence? Who’s idea was it?
This start with a conversation with Mr.Bongo and Funk na Caixa. We’ve the idea to create a compilation of new brazilian bass music. When we receive like 10 musics, we understand the new brazilian music, is the neo funk. For this, we’ve the idea to call other producers, not from Brazil, to help us with the compilation. Bumps was the first, then he come as producer too, calling other foregin producers.
What is special about this compilation over other artist collaboration projects you’ve worked on?
This compilation is very special, because we have 15 tracks of neo funk, and each music is a different style of neo funk. They are different from each other. They don’t sound similar. This is special because we can show 15 new ways to understand baile funk, as a global culture.
Anything in particular fans should pay attention to?
Prostituto is one of big hit’s of album. Tecnobrega + Funk lyrics + Bass culture.
Another big tracks is the remix of Bumps to Maga-Bo track. A kind of Neo Brazilian music, using elements of dnb. This is amazing.
Is there anything coming up for Funk Globo in the future?

Funk Globo is one of main album from 2013. It’s creative, It’s interesting, It’s tasty to listen, It’s what global scene was asking, for new trends and new directions.
